Site work module

What the Site work module covers, who switches it on or off, and what changes for your team, partners, guests and buyers when a workspace only sells.

Site work is one of the four modules of a workspace. It holds the tools for the building site. It is on for every new and existing workspace, whatever the company type. Switch it off if your workspace only sells, for example when a contractor runs the site in their own system.

What it covers

  • The site diary: daily entries, approval, the diary PDF and progress notes for buyers.
  • Snagging: snags on floor plans, the snag report PDF and buyer issue reports.
  • Task categories in Settings, and the category on each task.

Switch it on or off

Owners and admins go to Settings › Workspace and use the Site work switch under Modules. Other staff see the switches but can't change them.

Switching it off deletes nothing. Diary days, snags, reports and categories are kept, and switching it back on brings everything back as it was.

What changes for your team

While site work is off:

  • Projects have no Site diary or Snags tab, and the dashboard and setup checklist leave the diary out.
  • Task categories leaves the Settings menu, and tasks have no category picker. Tasks still work as a to-do list.
  • Snags drop out of My tasks, and nobody is notified or reminded about them.
  • Anything that would still write a diary day or a snag is refused with "Site work is switched off for this workspace."
  • AI assistants can't read snags.
  • Sales staff can mark units as handed over, as well as owners, admins and construction staff. See Aftercare.

Partners and guests

On a shared project, the setting of the workspace that owns the project counts. If it is off there, partner workspaces and guests lose the diary and snags of that project too. Shared tasks and team documents carry on.

Buyers

Buyers no longer see Report an issue in My home, or the reports they sent earlier. Everything else in the buyer portal stays the same.

What stays with off-plan sales

Construction updates and milestones belong to off-plan selling, so buyers keep seeing progress while site work is off. Progress notes you published from the diary earlier are construction updates, and they stay too. Units, buyers, reservations, payments, handover, aftercare and the buyer and agent portals do not depend on site work.
