Construction progress and updates
Track progress with weighted milestones and post photo, video and PDF updates that buyers see in their portal.
Open a project and select the Construction tab. It has two parts: milestones, which drive the progress bar, and updates, which buyers read like a timeline.
Milestones
Every new project starts with Foundation, Structure, Envelope, Finishes and Handover, all with equal weight.
- Percent — how complete the milestone is, 0 to 100. Change it as work progresses.
- Weight — how much the milestone counts towards overall progress. Give a long phase a higher weight.
- Order — the display order.
Overall progress is the weighted average of all milestones, so it can never drift from the milestones themselves. It shows on the project's Overview tab, in the buyer portal and in the agent portal.
To add a milestone, type its name (for example "Roofing") and select Add milestone. Deleting one recalculates progress without it.
Post an update
- Under Add update, enter a Title such as "Foundation complete" and the Date.
- Choose the Scope: Whole development, or one unit if the update only concerns that unit.
- Optionally add a description, then select Add update.
- Add content blocks to the update, in the order you want them shown:
- Add photo — an image with an optional caption
- Add PDF — a certificate or report, stored privately
- Add video — a link to a video
- Add embed — a link to embed, such as a drone tour
- Add text — a paragraph of notes
Updates are listed newest first by date.
What buyers see
Buyers get a notification for each new update and read it in the Progress tab of their portal. Whole-development updates come first, then one section per unit they own. A unit-scoped update is only shown to buyers of that unit.
Tip: Notifications link straight to the update, so a buyer tapping the email or the bell lands on it.
Delete an update
Select the bin icon on the update and confirm. The update, its blocks and their files are removed, and buyers no longer see it. This cannot be undone.
